The useful question is not whether Spain is cheaper than your country. It is whether your chosen Spanish life fits your income with room for change. Coastal rent, energy, transport, insurance and school choices can produce a very different answer from an inland town or mortgage-free home.
Start with current bank statements
Use six to twelve months of actual spending. Separate housing, utilities, food, transport, healthcare, children, travel, subscriptions and irregular annual costs. Remove expenses that genuinely end and add the ones created by the move.
Add arrival costs separately
Deposits, temporary accommodation, transport, furniture, document work and connection fees can distort the first months. Keep an emergency reserve after these costs rather than treating every available euro as moving budget.
Test three scenarios
Model comfortable, expected and difficult months, including currency movement if income is not in euros. Corablanca can help map the practical costs and sequence while qualified advisers confirm tax, insurance and property-specific figures.
